Giddings Public Library and Cultural Center

Children love to curl up and read with a stuffed-animal friend who makes them feel comfortable and safe. Even babies and toddlers can develop pre-reading skills by sitting down with a book and looking at the pictures.

Our annual Book Buddy giveaway encourages children to spend meaningful time reading. Children 12 and younger who visit the library and check out a book February 14  will take home a stuffed-animal book buddy to join in their reading adventures.* The library is open Saturday, Feb. 14, 10A-1P.

Children become readers by reading with someone they love.
