Step one: Register for summer reading with any librarian at the Giddings Public Library beginning May 5. Parents will receive a welcome letter with program details. Children will receive a reading log to track their reading. Registration continues through June.
Step two: Begin reading. Keep track of your reading time using the reading log you received when you registered. Once you complete a level, bring your reading log to the library anytime between June 2-June 27 and pick up your prizes.
Step three: Keep reading! You have until June 27 to finish reading and earn prizes. Once a reading log has been completed and submitted, request a sheet of bonus tickets. There’s no limit to how many bonus tickets children can enter into the bonus drawing. Bonus prizes include bicycles, an instant-print camera, and puzzles.
No registration required: Attend our weekly on-site summer-reading experiences.
All Ages Experiences, Wednesdays from 3-4P: Although primarily created for children 12 and younger, the whole family is invited to join our all ages program on Wednesdays.
Teens Only, Thursdays from 3-4P: Our Thursday program is reserved for young people between the ages of 13-17. Siblings and parents are welcome to hang out in the library until the teen program ends, but only teens can attend the program.
All summer-reading participants are invited to celebrate the end of summer reading with a party Friday, June 27, at 11A.
